    When some of our engine companies respond to a medical call for an elderly patient they offer to check the patients smoke detector while they are there. Once the medical problem is resolved. They replace quite a few dead batteries and even install some new detectors for those that don't have them. One of these companies recently discovered

    What is that?
    It's obviously a sub-optimal substitute for a 9v, but I can't make it out...
