You get the award for worst explanation of a problem...

Router type, wireless card, service type, etc. There's so many different brands, etc. It would be impossible to tell you whats wrong without knowing the type of equipment you're using.

Are there other computers on the network that are working?(I presume so since your posting)

Have you made any changes, installed any software/hardware, etc, prior to this problem? Or did you just wake up and you weren't getting a connection? If you have an ethernet cable available, and an ethernet port on the laptop, you can try hooking up manually and see if that works.

So the wireless card doesn't connect but the Ethernet port does? Not the DNS stack, then.

Did you go into the card's settings and look for other signals besides your Access Point? Sometimes the XP solution tries to 'grab' a local encrypted signal instead of your AP, and it looks like the thing isn't working at all.

Is it an integrated WiFi solution or a PCMCIA card?

Rip and reinstall the driver for the WiFi antenna if you are sure the thing was set up properly.

are any of the lights on the wireless card lit up? There should be one for power and one for a signal. If neither is lit, you may have a driver issue (did it come with a CD?), or you may have a dead wireless card.
