I'm going to assume it's your grip, hold it firmly and try not to limpwrist it. Are you using 115 +P+ ?? I've found those to work exceptionally well out of my G23 and G35.

I'll try it again with a firmer grip. I was shooting one hand only, gansta style, at the time.

I assume you are using a conversion barrel?

if ya don't have a firm grip when using the 9mm conversions it tends to not like to feed properly. ... when you say your using a standard barrel you mean your using a g17 barrel right?!!? one shudders at the thought of a 9mm bouncing down a .40 barrel.

I know this may come acrossed as snotty, but I have no intent to be. We've all made dumb over-sight type mistakes.

But you've got 9mm parts in your .40 right?

Barrel, extractor group and mags right?

If so, I'd go along with the other posters and check on your grip.

you only need to change your extractor if you wan't your 9mm to eject 100% I used my 9mm conversion last night 400 rounds and the only malfunction was when my dad wanted to try it. didn't hold it right.

Wrap about 4 loops 1/2" wide scotch tape around each 9mm case. Should do the trick and it's cheaper than a conversion barrel.

    The tape trick works great!

The cases are in much better condition for reloading. I'm developing a "reverse rolling" taping technique that will allow me to re-use the tape and reduce my costs. I'll post back here if/when I get it perfected.

I still have trouble getting the gun to cycle properly. It functions like a single shot. Oh well, can't have everything!

I've been having a similar problem with my G19. I can't get it to fire my .40 S&W ammo reloads. It won't feed correctly. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong!

And he'll be here all week, folks!

I just got through qualifying our reserves. One of the Glocks kept FTE.
We went through all drills, until finally I got his gun and "showed" him the right way. Needless to say, it FTE'd on me, too. When I checked the mag, he had it fully loaded with 9. Pretty impressive how the case expands to the size of a 40.
