    Stupid is as stupid does...

Complete lack of common sense and forethought is it's own reward?

Don't know why anyone would decline to hire him, clearly he has a history of making solid decisions.

Well. I guess if you turn to crime because you have a good excuse, it's acceptable.

Maybe in your own mind, but to every other civilized person on this earth, crime is reason enough to be ostracized from society.

To add an offensive (to the general public) facial tattoo is strictly your problem. Decisions have consequences. Especially bad decisions.

Now you have to live with it.

    Moral: Don't be stupid!

I can see him in an HR position. Nobody would complain to him.

    Forever is a long time!!!

"he had it inked a few months ago, while drunk on homebrew in a jail cell in Christchurch, New Zealand."

Apparently the people that run the prisons in NZ aren't much smarter.
    How did this actually happen???

Now this bad decision will become everyone's problem to support.

This is one of my biggest societal concerns that I ponder after a beer or 4.

Make good decisions your whole life, be responsible and have integrity in how you conduct your life and how you interact with others.

What does it get you? You are now the perfect person to pay for all the people that aren't like you, and get to make poor decisions that are consequence free. Why bother you might ask? One way to think about it is, you pay taxes anyhow and have no freedom to choose how that money is spent, so don't worry too much about it.

I agree. Especially the tattoo. Even with the conviction there are still a few places that will hire because of the tax credits.

    Not his fault.

All kidding aside, stupid does come with consequences. Everyone has a right to get inked up in any way they want. And employers have a right to hire a candidate that they believe is the best fit for the job. I don't think most employers care if you've got a tattoo your arm, leg, etc with your kid's name, etc. But a tattoo across your face, neck, etc and ones that say 'f the po po' etc...yea, you'll likely get kicked to the curb.

I was thinking of an angle grinder with a 16 grit pad, but your way would be more fun.

You see these guys every day, who make such obviously bad decisions that it looks like they are intentionally trying to ruin their lives and you have to wonder how they don't see that.
