The trigger won't move forward when you close the slide?

Lock the slide open, insert an EMPTY magazine to insure that it does not close on you. Then remove the slide cover plate and take the firing pin out of the slide. Now you should be able to strip it.

Did you straighten out the connector when you had it apart?

I removed the striker, reinstalled the original trigger and ever thing is working. Are triggers not a drop in replacement?

Normally they are....did you compare the two trigger bars to see if they appear to be the same?

Oh hell, I hope he didn't get one of those bent ones......

Heck, I hope he got a Glock trigger

Since you have a problem, and you aren't sure of what you are doing, for your safety (and everyone else at the range) take it to a gunsmith for fixing. A bad trigger in not something most people enjoy being next to at the range.

The Glock trigger group is an integral part of the Glock safeties which you may have compromised. It's not like you changed out a mag baseplate (it it goes wrong, you haven't affected the safeties).

Think of gunsmith fee as the cost of a lesson learned.
Hmmm

This happens when the trigger spring is broken.

OR...

Is the current "smooth" trigger with trigger bar assembly from a G21 or a 9mm Glock? .45ACP trigger with trigger bar assembly are actually different compared to 9mm and .40S&W (G17 and G22, respectfully), because of a longer upkick on the cruciform.

What too do you guys use for straightening the connector?

I was thinking the same vice I used to straighten my bent ejectors, but that's out in the garage, and it's really HOT out there. Will pliers or vice grips work okay?
Oohhhh...... you guys are so wrong. :faint:

Now we are going to see 100 new posts made about how new guys were straightening their connectors, snapped them in half and are now wondering if you can use superglue or duct tape to put them back together..
