I am planning on purchasing my next gun in April. I currently have a Walther PPS, G19 and G26. I have really wanted to get an H&K, Sig, or CZ. The only problem is the other half of me says get the G17 and round out your collection of 9's or get a G30 and make a sweet home defense gun out of it. The stress of the decision in killing me and the purchase is still 2 months away. Any of you been in a similar situation. How do you keep from getting sucked into the I should only buy Glocks mentality?

I am in a similar situation. I currently own a G27 that I carry, and was looking for a larger frame to possibly carry as well. I didn't want a full frame, so I was looking at the midsize "compact" class. I also can't decide on what caliber to get. I really like the .45 GAP, but am not sure about the ammo situation. I like the .45 ACP but want a full grip. I was also considering a 23C to keep the ammo the same as my G27. I change my mind daily on which to get...the 23C .40 - the 38 .45 GAP - or the 30 .45 ACP with grip extenders! :dunno:

Get another caliber - .45 ACP or .40S&W.

    I know what you mean.

I have a 17 and it's a great pistol, you won't be sorry for getting one.
    I also have a 19 and a 21. Love em all.

I had my heart set on a 21sf next, but I have been captivated by
the smaller G30. I not branching out into another caliber, between
the 9's and the .45's I'm happy and can reload for both.
So many Glock choices and so little time.

    Good luck on you decision.

    I can't decide between a G22 or G23 since I have a 9mm w/ my 26
Thinking of also possibly a 17 to experience the fullsize 9mm

I think it makes sense to stay with one caliber especially since it's much less expensive than .45 but the only way to keep from getting stuck on Glocks only is to have something else and see how you like it. The PPS is a Glock for arguments sake so that doesn't really count. I would say try the CZ because it has a great reputation and is going to cost less than an HK or a Sig although I've heard the P30 and P30L are awesome.

It's hard to buy a non-Glock pistol once you are hooked on them, but I'd go with a CZ out of the 3 non-Glocks you listed. The CZs are GREAT pistols and you'll have a fraction in a new CZ as opposed to an H&K.

If you want something in the Glock area, go with the Glock 21. It's my favorite pistol I own.
