can you ping the pages you want to get to?

Start/Run/ CMD or command/ hit Ok

    Ping www.whatever.com

if you get a responce then you know you are reaching the site.

You may have been hijacked or have a virus. Try the various removal tools like Hijack This, CWShredder, Spybot S&D, ect.

Well, you already know what you should do.

Spyware, trojan, or other malware symptoms you've got going, there.

Definitely infected. Clean the spyware off, repair the damaged files (if necessary). Rinse, repeat.

if you have a firewall running..disable it.

if not look at your lan settings: tools, internet options, connections, lan seetings...there should be no marks checked under lan..if yes...uncheck then apply.

maybe you need a windows update or one of your recently installed updates jammed things up~~ this is fairly common:(

    good luck!
