Got the same news 6 months ago. Lung cancer, spread all over, liver, right femor, three vertabre. Have trouble walking due to pain. Had 24 radiations and 4 chemos. Feel pretty good, still have trouble walking due to pain, takes a long time to heal bone.
I will add you to my daily word with god. Keep positive and dont let it get you down. Dont let the chemo get to ya. Not gonna kid ya its tough, just stay with it.
    my best to you

Prayers for you and your family. My paternal grandfather died of cancer... at least you caught it.

I subscribe to the philosophy that I will not tiptoe through life to arrive at the grave with a perfectly preserved corpse. When I kick the bucket, it will be with a burnt out, used up body that enjoyed every second of life.

I just wanted to add that after my diagnosis, it was the first time in my life that I was ever REALLY scared. The next day after my diagnosis, I woke up hoping that it was all just a bad dream and that I was going to wake up to my "regular" life and that everything was going to return back to "normal". It was at that point that I REALLY knew how small and insignificant I was... but yet at the same time, how much God loved me to even give me the gift of life. I knew that His will was going to be done regardless of what I wanted, and that I was not the one in control. I knew that He wasn't going to put me through something that I was not able to handle, and that what I could control was my attitude and fighting spirit. At that moment, I prayed for His strength and patience to guide me through it. I decided that I wasn't going to go out like a chump. Even if it did take me in the end, I was gonna go with a smile and a big middle finger up to cancer.

It was the BEST thing that ever happened to me. Through it all, I learned that my wife really loved me and I learned who my real friends were. I learned what in life was important.. and what really wasn't and was not worth my energy. And to Lawman800, brother, even though we never met before, I did look forward to getting better so we could grab that burrito.

Captain, you will get through this man. You are NOT alone.

Dude, I was pulling for ya when I heard... and when you're free from all your gigs, and you feel like another machaca and guac fries (or whatever else you can get in my hood and not yours), you come on down anytime you want. I'll buy.
