If the dairy farmers would step up their game and produce a glut of butter...

I read that. The Canadian lobstermen stopped the lobsters from coming into canada where the lobsters would have been processed at canadian plants. I wonder how the workers at the canadian plants feel about that?

No more US lobsters going to Canada? That's okay. No more Canadian lobster-products should be imported into the US.

Allergic to shellfish, but I know a lot of people that'll be happy should the prices fall.

you know all of our open, endless international trade people won't see it that way.

I'm heading to Cape Cod next ... keep the lobster coming for the next two weeks. I paid 9.99 per pound last year. I hear its 5.99 now.

I'm there right now on West Dennis beach and the shaws has them for that. Up in Maine a buddy was paying around 3$ a pound.

This has been tried as far back as the Luddites. It simply doesn't work.

And that's when you stop and go do something else. Sucks, but that's life--the universe never guaranteed that you could get to keep doing what you want. If there's too many lobster fishermen, well, this is the economy's way of telling you that.
