with the same sight requirements as the regular GSSF matches?
Yes. From the GSSF site:
The Lewis Prize Allocation system is used to distribute awards as equitably as possible. Thus, competitors may shoot ANY GLOCK pistol. Your two best scores of the series will be totaled and averaged at the end of the 3-match series. If a shooter competes in only two matches, his/her scores are totaled and divided by two. If a shooter competes in all three matches, his/her best two scores are totaled and divided by 2.
The emphasis is theirs.
With ANY sights;d
I don't see the word STOCK.
Neither do I. Stock sights aren't required for GSSF outdoor matches either. Show up with a scope or C-more and try shooting an indoor match, they wouldn't allow it at the matches I went to. But, then again I don't live in Kentucky. Then again you can always call GSSF for a clarification.
so what kind of scores does it take to win a typical indoor match, xxx/500?
The last time I shot one was 2 years ago and I don't remember the x count but you had to be shooting 495+ to be in contention.
Yeah, we try to keep things simple here in Kaintuck.
If we get the indoor match here next year, I'll try the "just show up" plan rather than contacting GSSF. If you don't want to hear the answer, don't ask the question.
