I have read alot of good things about GSSF, and I'm in the market for a new gun. I was hoping I could join up and buy a Glock at the same time. So is it possible to sign up for GSSF and buy a discounted Glock at the same time??? If so where can you do this?
    Thank You

No. You must join for two years and request a pistol purchase coupon when you join. When you receive it, you can then take it to a participating GSSF dealer and use it. If you only join for one year, then you have to wait until your first renewal 12 months later.

You may download a membership application at www.gssfonline.com

I am a new member... So wait for more info.

But, I joined and had to wait for my paperwork.

You get a member card and a discount card. The discount card stays with the place you get the gun.

As is understand this is a new rule change put in place this year...

I live in GA so I was able to go visit GSSF offices and pick up my paperwork. Other than that plan to wait about 4 weeks...

In the mean time, find a place that does blue label guns. Recent changes have caused most of the places around me to stop selling them. Then you will be ready when the paperwork does arrive.

    Hope this helps.

    Chris

Bummer, I'm the inpatient type, waiting a year+ isn't really going to work for me. I'll have to look into this some more. Thanks for the info guys

Like Danny mentioned above...IF you join for 2 years, and request a pistol purchase coupon when you join.

    Should only take 4 weeks, it's NOT a year+.

I got mine at Eds Public Safety in Stockbridge. All the shops around me, Cumming ~ 400 exit 12, won't touch them any more.

Since these have to be purchased at a LEO location do they come with 3 mags like the LEO guns do?

I imagine the joining for two years before getting the coupon is to prevent people from joining for just that purpose. Go ahead and join for the 2 years.

Yeah the 'Blue Label' guns come with 3 mags, they say the subcompacts come with 2 but mine came with three.

Blue label is a gun by Glock that is packaged and sold to Law enforcement. The label on the box is light blue rather than red or white. In short, an extra magazine. The serial numbers usually have a US at the end of them too if I am not mistaken.

I am not totally sure of all the differences but I am sure someone more knowledgeable will come along shortly.
