In Virginia, Yes. You can carry in any state building as long as its not a court or K-12 school.

Carrying in a DMV is legal in Virginia. There have been a few "educational moments" for DMV employees in the not too distant past, but it's a settled issue at this point.

which is kind of unfair to me, because i have an SR-22, so anything i do through DMV i have to bring a copy of that to them...

Every time I've gone to the DMV office near me they have an armed guard in the waiting area.

If things are bad enough that DMV thinks they need an armed guard, I'm not going to DMV without my gun.
