I hear rumor that we might get 1000 entries at Conyers.

Don't be scared to shoot that extra entry; use your stock gun for a warm up in unlimited.:wavey:

1000 entries means a LOT of random prize guns and cash. Bring friends.

That is exactly why I am signed up to shoot 6 categories at Conyers, not all the same day of course. Us "Really Old Guys Needs All The Help We Can Get", right Bama?:faint:
Now I broke the ice and got the first 6 so you only need to line up 994 more.

It took you this long to think of a come back line. You might be older than you think. :tongueout:

Can SRGC handle 1000 entries? Figuring that maybe 2/3 of the entries are shot on Saturday, AND folks like to come in on Saturday, shoot, and go home, AND the Gunny Challenge, Travis Tritt, and BBQ on Saturday....... :phew:

If they are able to keep the responce of RO's as they have in the past it should be no problem. We had 744 entries last year and I know of 3 or 4 bays that had manned set ups that were hardly used.

I am unsure of how this works as I've never shot Conyers... oh, wait I've barely shot any GSSF matches... The Gunny Challenge is at 2PM on Saturday. Don't they close down a few bays for that? And won't many of the ROs want to go watch that (and TT if he does anything)? Then there's the Gunny Challenge BBQ that the ROs are invited to I think. I am also uncertain of how observers may watch the Gunny Challenge - or is that roped off to prevent the riff-raff from getting too close? :crying:

Can it all be done before nightfall? Or does the BBQ and beer flow until the wee hours?? (The beer part I made up based on wishful thinkng...)

i talked with Cindy last week in GA. and she said right now they had a little over 200 preregistered, but that mostly means they've not worked on registering shooters for Conyers. she said last year was around 430 shooters and 700+ entries. No more than I know I think 1000 would be hard to do, or to reach.

The Gunny Challenge is not held in the same bays as the rest of the GSSF is held. I don't know if any bays were shut down so RO's could go watch last year or not. I do know that the bay I worked that we started at about 08:30 Saturday morning and closed it down around 5:00 Sat. evening. The BBQ for the Gunny Challenge and RO's was held in the Club House after all shooting was shut down around 6:00ish.

I shot IDPA at South River in August. It appeared some additional pistol bays were under construction, but I have no idea as to whether or not they will be in use for the GSSF match.
