The rare times we serve mango on fruit trays we do not remove the skin. Instead we cut it into quarters, and cube the flesh. This way you can easily eat it.

The seed of the Mango is large, slice the flesh from both side of it.

Draw your knife through the flesh, but not the skin, in both directions making squares.

Turn the piece in sideout and it is now easy to eat.

    Avacado

Slice around the long center of it. Give a twist to seperate the halves.

Remove the pit, by whacking it hard enough to stick the heel of the blade of your knife lightly in the pit. Twist and the pit is removed

You can draw your knife through the flesh to make squares or just scoop it out with a spoon.

Eat right away or toss with lemon juice to keep from turning black.

Avacado wedges are great in salads, wraps, tacos and sandwiches.

Plain? Yeah sure, with salt or lemon like PDog said...

I use them in my low carb tuna wraps...

Fast Tuna salad with chopped Calamata Olives and cubed Avocado "folded" in...

It adds a really appealing creaminiess to the wrap...

Sauteed slices of Tofu does too, but not as much in the flavor dept...

    +1

If eating avacados by themselves I typically like a little salt, or perhaps some salad dressing.

From avocados comes guacamole as follows for me:

Slice two avocados, remove pits and spoon out into a bowl.
    Mash with fork.
Add three tablespoons of sour cream
    one half vidalia onion chopped
    one teaspoon ground cumin.
    one clove garlic, chopped
    one tablespoon bacon bits
one dash (or to taste) green pepper sauce
    one teaspoon salt
    one half teaspoon ground pepper
    juice of one half lime

    Stir and blend.

I've also mashed up an avocado to coat my salad greens with in lieu of any other dressing. A little pureed garlic, and a dash of other spices kicks it up a notch.;)

This will sound odd, but give it a try.

Take your peeled avocado half and sprinkle some sugar on it in place of salt and enjoy.

well for the mango yes just peel and eat but watch out for the pit it is usually a large thin kinda oval shape in the center but you can eat all around it. and for the avocado cut in half by runnin a knife around it with the tip of the blade hitting the pit then twist and remove half of the avocado then take your knife and hit the pit blade side down and hit the pit with the back corner of the blade twist and remove pit. then what is really good season with salt and pepper, olive oil and lime juice and grill it its a great to eat with steaks or almost any thing or just by its self enjoy and good luck.
