Last year, the Conyers shoot was held on 9/25 and they posted the finals on 10/27 (which was extremely fast). This year, the shoot was held on 9/24, so does that mean that the finals will be posted by 10/26? :whistling:

Of course, this year they had a much larger crowd and had to deal with 4 digit numbers for the first time ever, so I fully understand that it may take a bit longer to sort it out. I just remember being shocked last year when they pulled that feat off, so I had to go pull up the old posts to see what the time span was.

I am in no rush though - it isn't like I shot well enough to place and be guaranteed a pistol :embarassed:.

...and there's other matches to post finals for prior to Conyers too.....they've had a busy year! :)

I for one, really don't care!
They work hard hard enough and I don't care to see them trying to out-do any previous records can't understand why people want to push them for the results.

It is, what it is! The GSSF staff will get there and get'er done when they can. I'll be happy with that because I have faith in their abilities.

I think having the Tucson prelims up the NIGHT of the match was pretty damn fast!

Both of the matches I shot this year were 6-7 weeks. I think they need more staff

Thibodaux LA, 2011, I was the last shooter to finish the match. It was a relatively small match, but I waited and they had the "unofficials" before I left the range. Prelims were up by the time I hit New Orleans on the way home.

Take a deep breath, GR :scared: - please note the :) in the subject line and then the comment within the post stating that I actually understand why they probably wouldn't be able to do such a thing (I didn't even mention the point that Butch made as I wasn't really serious). As I said in the post, the finals posting really doesn't matter to me either and I didn't do this to get you all :steamed:.

GSSF is a great sport and the only one that I get to regularly participate in, and I really do thank them for all of the hard work that they put into it. The results last year just came on so fast, that I simply thought I would mention it here on the GSSF board (again with some smilies and comments).

    Have a nice day. :wavey:

    I'm not angry at all.
My britches ain't in a wad either... but I do have patience. GSSF staff deserves that much + more.

BTW, will we be seeing ya at the Charleston Match? Because it was scheduled so late the turnout will be light I think. Be a good time for you to win a gun.

Patience is a virtue. :wavey: I think the GSSF staff does a great job with the staffing and schedules that they keep - and even dealing with the older PC program that was having issues when they went to the 4 digit numbers at the Conyers shoot.

I wish that I could make Charleston but between work and the family, that won't be happening at this time of year. :( Heck, I can't even make the local steel plate matches right now with everything that is going on. My next GSSF shoot will be in Griffin, GA - that was a big shoot this year, so I am curious to see what it does next year.

I wonder if I could get GSSF to schedule all of the SE matches to occur during the summer time, when work is slower and the kids are out of school....

    ..and to expand on that:

    Patience a virtue,
    catch it if you can,
    seldom in a woman,
    never in a man!

Too darn hot down here in the summer! :tongueout:

I have to say I represent that phrase...I've been looking constantly for Missouri/Washington Finals, like everytime I open my browser, which today has been about every 10 minutes.....And I can only hope for a random besides.....

    Patience a virtue,
    catch it if you can,
    and because of woman,
    never in a man!

...but any woman can see that the above change fouls up the iambic pentameter. :tongueout:

    I am, as everybody knows,
A man given to prosaic prose.
    Common speech, common time...
    Anathema I name a rhyme.
    Enigmatic? I suppose.
