Is it safe or is the 10mm brass thicker or stronger? I have a bunch of .40 brass but not as much 10mm brass yet. It I put a .40 conversion barrel in my G-20 how hot can .40 brass be reloaded? Is there enough room in the .40 case for the extra powder? I have not gotten into reloading yet but plan to so I can feed my G-20.

The answer is yes... but only once. That goes for the gun too.

Seriously, DON'T try it.

The reason the 10 gets higher velocity is because it has more room for powder and has a higher pressure limit (+2500 psi).

40S&W loaded to its own limits are quite nice to shoot as they are. There are many that have blown out as shot from less supported chambers.

The 40 brass is slightly thinner lower at the web area as compared to the 10mm...
