    Hey all

Called Glock yesterday to ask about the new Gen. 4's coming out.
I was mainly interested in the changes being made internally.
I want to know if I will be able to keep getting parts for my older guns.

Here's what I was told I know a lot of people have been wondering.

All the internals are the same as gen after gen the main change is the recoil system is not interchangeable with the other gen.
So I quote (You won't need to worry about parts for you older Generation Glocks.)

And as to when the other Cal glocks will be coming in Gen 4, could not get a time frame on that.:dunno:

I called them yesterday too. I wanted to know when the G19 would be coming out. The man I spoke with said Glock hasn't released that info yet. I asked him if he could give me an "off the record" guess. He again said he didn't know because the info hadn't been released yet.

I called OMB and they guesstimated it would be around June. They said if I wanted to use the GSSF certificate for a G19, send it to them towards the end of May.

I ended up purchasing the Gen 3 G19.

Also, the Gen 4 trigger housing is different from Gen 3.

It's made like the 20, 21, 29 & 30 sf models... probably the same housing with the appropriate ejector.

Kind of on topic: I called Glock today with an ammo question and they were just incredibly helpful and nice.

Oh, yeah... barrel is different, too.

Apparently with a larger notch for a larger spring flange.
