I shoot .40 as well, buy ALL my ammo here. Aside from my "in home" ammo, which is Hornaday Critical Defense, my carry ammo is the same stuff I shoot at the range. Winchester Q4369, which is Gov white box issue of their "PDX1" ammo.

With .40 especially, stay away from cheap bulk reload ammo(MBI, etc...). This ammo I use is 180gr Bonded JHP, wickedly effective SD round. And with shipping, it works out to $17 per 50rd box. Cheaper than crappy Monarch FMJs locally. Cheap enough for range duty, so it allows me to practice with the same ammo I'd be using in a real situation.

Which I consider a good thing...

Hey Dirt, you shoulda wrote which Glock you're gonna shoot with the bulk ammo

Again, for sgammo.com. I shop around, but always seem to go back there.
I recently got some Winchester FMJ, for 9mm & .40S&W, for what was, comparatively a great price. Even cheaper than Walmart Federal, with shipping.

In the past I have bought my bulk ammo from Cabela's and also from bulkammo.com, some was dirty but you get what you pay for and they worked fine for target and regular fun shooting. I'll try out some of these other websites mentioned for future ammo purchases

I know everybody gets a bad box here and there of any ammo, but my experience?

I've only purchased aguila one time. Threw one 50rd box on top of one of my normal bulk orders just to try it out. Had four FTFs out of 50rds. Mind you, this is the ONLY time I've had FTFs with my G22, and I've put well over 4,000 rounds down it's pipe. Also, dirty as hell. After that one box, my Glock looked like a coalmine inside.

I normally practice with the same JHPs I carry, but when I can get it, I really like the Speer Lawman FMJs for practice ammo. Clean, reliable, accurate, and affordable.

Another vote for Surplus Ammo.

While I was working in Iraq as a contractor I ordered a 1000 rounds a month from them and had it shipped home.

Ok so I have been researching and Im inbetween 2 types of winchester rounds.... One being winchester white box 165 grain fmj the other is winchester Ranger 135 grain jhp zq4368 which is cheap enough that I could practice with a hollow point round only about 10 differnce in a case..... I read the reviews about this and alot of good to hear but havent seen anyone with my specific gun or a glock comment for that matter my gun is a gen 3 35 does anyone shoot either of these shells ? I just want to know before I buy 500 rounds of something that isnt very good

I'm not totally sure but I believe Hickok45 prefers the white box Winchester and I would trust his recommendation, I know he has a couple videos addressing the preferred and the not so clean types of ammo, def check it out on YouTube :)

I shoot wwb 165gr fmj out of my glock 20sf with a .40cal conversion barrel ALL the time, it is pretty much all I practice with or plink with, with the exception of a mag here and there of some swampfox 10mm to keep up with my proficiency in 10mm! I like wwb, I try to buy a 100 round box once a week to keep my ammo stores up.
