    Mga pare ko,

I am opening this new thread regarding my interest in acquiring an AR. This is a continuation of my previous thread RUGER OK?

Hindi sya mahaba like the M16, so I would assume that its a carbine. Is it M4 or A4? Mayroon na nakakabit na maliit na scope.

Where can I buy this? Magkano ang brand new? Ang license ba the same as that of a handgun? Pwede ba kuha ng PTC?

    Merry christmas sa lahat!

    Gumagalang,
    Mao.

I have sampled such weapons during the recent CARAT exercises held at San Narciso NETC. According to the Phil. Marines they are reliable even in harsh conditions, one marine stated that they were using M4 during beach head exercises and the weapon fired flawlessly. The unit that I handled was marked Knights Armament. As for the price and local availabilty I have no idea maybe the other BOGs know. HTH

you can buy parts and assemble one according to your preferences. the problem is, i think amnesty for loose firearms is over (sept. 30) because that's what it would fall into. it is the only time that civilians will be able to own a licensed auto weapon.

i don't know if you can apply one for PTC. i think it's not allowed.

according to the LAW, only police, military and other law enforcement can buy auto weapons which can be applied for license.

mga BOGs please correct me for any misinformation. tnx:)

Share ko lang ulit infos tungkol sa M16's

Colt M4's and New Knights Armament Assault Rifle Price Range:
    P250,000.00 up to P350,000.00

Colt M4's and New Knights Armament Assault Rifle Availablity:
1.As of October 2005 VERY RARE, you gotta have bigtime connections
    to get these units.
2.Luck. If your lucky na may mag-alok ulit na for sale na ganyan.

Cost of assembling your rifle from scratch:
    P80,000.00 up to P120,000.00
*Please contact Raymond of MS. Lacson gunstore for a quotation.
I cannot post price of parts list here.

Cost of buying a whole rifle:
Manila price - P35,000.00 to P55,000.00 depending on condition of gun.
Provincial price - For as low as P15-20,000.00

    Licensing of Assault weapons:
    During Amnesty only.
There are two (2) Gun Amnesties in one presidential term in the Phils.
Gun Amnesty is the only time civilians in the philippines can legally
    own an assault rifle.

Tip on Colt Ar-15's and M16's:
These guns are not brand new.
These guns have a shelf life of more than 30 years, most of them are Vietnam era pa.
It's very very rare to find mint condition guns like these, unless
it was owned by an officer.
Recievers on most of these guns are loose because of age.
If you see an Ar-15 or M16 that is in very mint condition, there is
a big possibility that the gun is Elisco with the markings erased
and replaced with Colt or Assembled with a blank lower reciever
    imported from the US.

    Tip on Elisco Rifles:
    Elisco is Colt.
The philippines is one of the 5 countries licensed by Colt to manufacture M16's.
    Elisco is re-inforced.
    Elisco is Brand new.

    PTC's are for handguns only.
Transport Permit are for rifles (house to range only, with a duration
of usually 1 to 2 weeks only)

    Hope this helps
    Melbu

I’m still planning to acquire a long firearm. HK and shotguns are already out. I have yet to see an HK for sale. The shotgun does not fit my needs here. It seems that M16’s are the only choices left. I’m still reading about brands, configurations, and accessories.

The latest offer is a “brand new” bushmaster for 150k. But that was a year ago. ;1

Many thanks for the info guys.

If I can't legally own an AR for now, I then have to go back to looking into the Ruger Mini-14 Ranch Rifle. I think this will do for the time being.

Sayang! Sabik pa naman ako sa AR. :(

    Maligayang pasko sa lahat! ;f

    Mao.

Hi Sir Mao, I think amnesty expired Sept 30 (as per Sir Dok). Extension nalang daw kasi ito from the last Election. And Crame not issuing PTT for long arms. I remember before Ture Weight offering M16 fot Php50k. And if to be converted to M14, price will jack up to about Php120K yata.

    mao,
mahal ang bala ng m16 ng mga kano, if i'm correct i think more than 50 bucks a pop yon, its called the m855, very rare pa, their barrel is configured for that bullet, it has a 1:7 twist, thats why the terminal performance of their shorter rifles are as good as our 20 inch barreled rifles, the bullets that you find here are called m193, its for rifles w/ 1:12 twist barrels, ok na performance nito just as long as you launch it from a 20 incher, mura pa, kung buenas minsan mga sundalo binebenta sa amin for only 5 bucks;f para meron sila pang good time;f

the m855 at 50 bucks a pop is too much. a 1:7 twist barrel will shoot anything from 55gr up to 80+gr bullets. for best long range performance out of a short barreled ar use the mk262 or you can load your own. use th 75gr hornady bullets:) and btw, gotta have a 1:7 barrel to use heavier bullets.
