http://www.ktbs.com/news/police-name-man-shot-by-police/ http://www.ktbs.com/news/mother-of-teen-shot-by-police-speaks-out/ and not directly related http://www.ktbs.com/news/grandmother-finds-bullet-in-bedroom/ I'm not too terribly far from where the officer related shooting took place. Close enough that the punk's bullets could have came down and damaged my property or health. I regret that the officer didn't aim higher, maybe during his administrative leave he'll get some training time in. Of course the mother is speaking out, and of course she has a different last name than her child. Knowing the area I'm not surprised, or surprised that she would speak out or that KTBS would give her a platform to do it. I know I heard gun shots at midnight. Some fireworks too. I didn't bother to look out the window but I can only imagine people lighting Roman Candles 50 feet from a tough guy popping his Jennings Nine into the air. I didn't even bother calling the police, I'm sure they were more than busy in the worse areas. I'll assume the grandmother's roof is cheap or thin, just the vibe I got from the story. Hopefully mine would withstand a bullet or two, I'll be here for awhile. Good to see they were issuing citations though. Not sure if that's a fine or what, it needs to be a stiffer penalty I'm sure. At least no one innocent was hurt this year.
