Note parts in bold.
Well forget that then. I'll just get the FN.
$300 shotgun is looking good.
I guess I don't want one anymore.
Another rich boys toy. Save your money gentlemen.
hoping to become a rich boy lol but on a serious note with so much good stuff out there for a whole lot cheaper ill pass.....for now
Well, as long as there are people that will pay ridiculous prices for firearms, they will keep the prices at a ridiculous level. It's just another over priced rifle that really isn't anything special. It's nice, don't get me wrong, just nothing special and especially not worth anywhere near the MSRP.
Way to kill a great concept.
+1 or maybe the XCR. Definitely not paying that much for a 1/9 twist Bushmaster.
I'll just stick with the one I shoot on Call of Duty!
Don't worry. The gotta-have-the-latest-and-greatest folks will step over one another, paying $7K for it.
I don't want one anymore. Hopefully that price will come way down after production catches up with demand.
It definitely has the potential to be a new yardstick in combat arms. It was designed with real input from the guys who have "been there and done that," and it's been tested long and hard. It's ergonomic and truly modular, and by all accounts, reliable and durable.
This would have been a fantastic moment for the firearms world if the bastards at Cerberus hadn't decided to burden the gun with a crappy 1/9 twist, government profiled barrel (for the civilian version), and put the screws to people with an absurd price.
Magpul set out to make a next-gen rifle, and to make it affordable. One out of two isn't so good.
$2000-$3000 for a mass produced plastic long gun? What the hell do these people and FN smoke?
It's a good thing that the AK is still available. All gun and no BS.
The MSRP is a joke. For all of the hype this gun has gotten the MSRP will end up dooming it to failure, among other things...
Bet dollars to doughnuts it'll drop before the rifle hits the market.
if this price winds up being true i might just be irked enough to switch my assault class back over to the m16. lol
So roughly $2,000 street price for the "Basic" model? Good luck with that.
I just went from happy to irritated in the time it took to load the page and read the bold. HUGE let down. I don't care how much I want this rifle, I'm not willing to give my money to crooks. Anyone charging 3k for mass produced long arm that was originally projected to cost 1400 by the designer is an A-hole. I'm willing to spend around 2k at most. I still think thats kind of high. I expected to initial wave to fetch crazy prices but MSRP?!?!?!?!? I hope this is just a bad joke.
That's incredible. Why so high? How in the world do they think they can get away with that?
Although it would be funny if the MSRP was so high and the actual getting price was 1/2 that.
I had a dream about that last night. *sigh*
I hope they throw in 3,000 rounds of ammo , full auto, and a heck of a nice carrying case for that amount of money
