Nice. Watch all the anti public employee folks comment good for her and how she deserved every cent. Then go to the polls and vote away teachers pay and benefits that go through that every day for years.

Where did that come from? Good for the bus lady. Teachers go through that kind of crap everyday but they don't get donations, they get pay cuts.

When your kids are too stupid to take an order at McDonald's because their teacher has a classroom of 50 kids that won't sit down & shut up, you can ask them about crack pipes.

    JUST SAYIN

It was probably the same kind of so-called 'thought process' that led so many fools to donate all that money to some poor little old lady who was so far out of her depth it isn't even funny.

If this generation’s intelligence continues with more youtubes and funny facebooking, then I suggest we use it to our advantage. Save tax dollars by doing away with all public cameras. Banks could even do away with their filming of robberies. Fewer cameras in the budget mean higher interest rates for all. Employers will save time interviewing when they simply add a job application line asking for the applicant’s youtube channel.

I predict the next big thing will be internet forums of criminals coming together to discuss their techniques. Technology will replace prison to learn tricks of the trade.

Excellent. Once again the stupidity of people comes shining through.

"Oh dear, look at the verbal abuse that poor lady had to endure.."

"Yes, I agree that it's far more important that we give money to her than contribute to a local homeless shelter."

"I feel so much better about myself."

"Me too honey. Shame about those Iowan flood victims, though."

    "Well, you can't help everyone."

"Yes, bus monitors who get taunted are so much more worthy of our help..."

Stupid, stupid people. (No offense to anyone here who contributed money to the old broad. I'm betting no one here will step up and say they did...)

Yes, the kids are too stupid to take an order at McDonald's. But it's not because the teacher has 50 kids in the classroom. They don't. But you are correct that the ones they do have won't sit down and shut up, as you state. Try looking into the homes for the behavior problems.

The kids we are seeing today are second and third generation druggies. Difficult at best to control.

I'm happy for the lady. Why? My great grandfather was a teacher, my grandfather, my father, my wife, my daughter too. I've sat through dinner table teacher talk for 70 years. You wouldn't believe the stories and it got worse every year.

Rock on, granny. Enjoy yourself. You deserve it.

Could be wrong here, but I don't think most organ fund raisers approach this amount.

Not sticking up for the punks, but I don't see how a 20 year bus driver gets emotional from 12 year old kids' lame jokes. Their egos are so fragile at that age, and even more so by their cowardly demonstration. A crack about their small hairless pricks would have sent their self-esteem in a nose dive.

What the kids did was flat out wrong, but isn't it also the adults role in that situation to correct their behavior? By that bus monitor just sitting there and taking the punishment all she did is teach the kids that it was OK to do that.

The issue is that we have generations of weak spined morons running loose in this country. People worry more about offending others than they do about doing what is right vs wrong.
