Ok, surely someone has done this already and I'm just curious as to how it turned out.

I have a new G21SF on order and it should be here this week and I would like to build a Tactical lenght 10mm out of it for various uses. I already have an old G20 and I love the 10mm round. I have several thousand rds of 10mm ammo plus I reload as well so ammo is not a problem.

I plan to use a LW slide, barrel, ss guide rod w/ 20lb spring, etc.

What I'm looking for is suggestions for target sights. Even though night sights are great for low light conditions what I need is a high quality target sight.

So, what have other people used and really liked?

If you think night sights are a gimmick for newbies and wanna be gunslingers, you obviously have never shot in low light conditions. They are very handy for this.

I like my nite sights and I am certainly no newbe. I also like my sf21 as is and think anyone turning a brand new one into a 10mm that already has a G20 is what newbes do but could be wrong.

I just didn't want 20 post about how great night sights are and that's what I should use. I was looking for info on TARGET sights. I've never seen a use for night sights.

Oh, I will still keep and use the pistol as a G21 I just want a tactical length 10mm too. :).

I like Dawson's adjustable fiber optic sights. Nice narrow front blade. I swapped the colors in mine, green up front and red in the back. Green seems brighter.

I would get an adjustable rear so you can dial in your target gun.

I could try to address target sights.
But why try with your rude opening editorial?

If it were me i would post this in the 10ring here on GT. But would use a different approach. Then you will see a flood of 10mm GT member's helping alot. Not that these folks here don't have a wealth of knowledge because they do. But you only have one chance to make a first impression.

I'm in no way trying to run your life thats not me. But i see you would fare well there then you do have a try at a second impression. Just trying to help you out is my only agenda. I have a G20 with some extra's and had tons of info. that i appreciated alot. Being new to Glock and 10mm i needed/wanted all the help i could get plus there is much discussion on the catridge itself. Plus Canyon Man posted some great pics recently.

Hope to see you in the 10 ring,

Go with the 22 lb spring. I went with 20 and it's not enough. Brass ejection is ballistic. Just got a 22 lb and will test it soon.....

    What is "tactical length"?

Dawson precision. If I was doing it all over, that's what I would have on my 29, as they are on my AA .22 conversion and I think they are some very nice sights.

About 25% more in cost than "non-tactical length" ...

and about 66% less than "marine tactical grade" which in turn is alot less than "aeronautical tactical grade"
