Just bought the last piece of the puzzle, the Magpul MBUS. I finally get to take this thing to the range and try her out. And everyone knows, for a thread to be complete it must contain a few pics.

P.S. I heard something about breaking in the barrel, is this absolutely necessary?

Just shoot it,......if it were a stainless barrel, it could be considered.
Nice build,...what rail? All I see is a bunch of SIGHT pictures.

It just keeps getting better, don't it?
What is considered a "build" versus just putting an upper on a lower and buying some parts like a HWS and VFG?

I had a complete A2 lower, put on a new STAG 2HT upper, bought a EOTech 517, VFG, sling, swapped out the stock for a telescoping model, put on a few XTM rail covers, and that was it. No piecing together any internals or actually building anything....

Granted I didnt assemble the upper receiver, I did assemble the lower including the internals. I guess "build" is kind of incorrect when you do so little work. After all it's just big boy legos, right?

The way I look at it, if you assemble the lower with a LPK, then that is sufficient "build" work to qualify it for a build. Screwing on the buffer tube, putting a stock on it, and pinning the upper to the lower is not building a gun.
