Browning Hi Power MKIII or CZ75B SS?

Well a few months ago I got rid of my beautiful stainless steel CZ75B. I was/am consolidating my handguns all down to .45 caliber.

However, I am now part of the crowd of "wish I never got rid of (x) gun".

Well since I want it back I was wondering if I should just go with the Browning?

I like this one. It is more expensive and less round count than the CZ but..

Anyway, thoughts on the browning vs. CZ75B? Thanks

Both are great. However, the Browning HP is my favorite 9mm.
I much prefer the more modern Cz design for actual defense purposes. Both have earned a reputation as more than suitable defense weapons though. I am in the same boat ever since I got rid of my Cz-75 compact.
Having experience with both I like CZ75 better.

Same here, and, I agree! After owning 2 CZ's, I definitely see a stainless 75 in my future!
As the owner of the CZ 75B Stainless, and someone who thinks Hi Powers are overpriced, CZ.
CZ75 here. I tend to look at the CZ as the evolution of the P35. That and FN/Browning has gotten a bit out of control with their pricing. One can only imagine how much they'd be if they were still fully assembled in Belgium, as opposed to Portugal!

:agree:

When I bought my 9mm high power in Jan 1993, (assembled in Portugal), new in box, I paid $316 OTD. Now that same high power sells for around $750 and up.

Definatly the Hi-Power!

Actually, the FN brand instead of Browning brand is fully assembled in Belgium AND cheaper than the Browning brand.

Agreed. It is one of the best and most used 9mm out there. Proven design and super sexy. Both are great but tge HP is a classic.

I thought they quit making the FN branded HP's after CDNN was blowing them out cheap a couple years ago?

I saw some brand new ones at a couple of gun shops fairly recent, but I don't know if they're old new stock or new stock.
Own both, like the CZ75 SA but LOVE the Browning Hi Power. I don't see CZ any more mordenize than BHP.

If you can afford, get BHP. If not, get CZ. It's that simple.

Same here!
I really like both but the CZ just does everything better for ME.

IF I got another HP, I'd have to get the polished blue version!
You can get a NIB camo'd Browning Hi-power for about $200 less than the regular blue. Same functionality.
Don't know a thing about the Browning HP, but I own a CZ 75B and they are one sweet shooting pistol. The smoothness in which the action cycles and the rounds go into the chamber is beyond belief. I don't know if this is because the slide is inside the frame or what, but It just seems to do it so effortlessly. I also shoot it better than any other pistol I own. Best $500 I ever spent on a pistol.
If you are really considering the HP, you can find much better deals if you search the classifieds on some of the forums. Besides the classifieds here on GT, you also have the "Equipment Exchange" on AR15.COM - http://www.ar15.com/forums/f_7/88_.html . There is also this one - http://www.theoutdoorstrader.com/forumdisplay.php?72-Handguns.

Personally, I am a big HP fan.

I have been temped a couple of times to buy a CZ75. I may still yet.

If you like 'smoothness', give the Beretta a try!
