Adopted an orphan Colt today,........#8 out of 10 made.
Was a Special run from Colt's Custom Shot spec'ed by a member on 1911 Enthusiast
It is a sweet pistol, think of it being a MEU build of sorts. It will soon get a short,
black Harrison trigger. Love the old school feel with a nicely fitted GS, gold bead
    front sight kicks butt!

    Here's a link to build info: http://1911enthusiast.com/showthread.php/1142-Enthusiast-Edition-A-Review!

    And the required pics,.......

And with a set of Colt Ivory grips,......

Seriously, one of these 1911 companies should hire me for marketing. If Colt only understood that if they released this configuration, they'd have guys standing out the door a mile long. Including me.

Got quite the collection now eh FAA??

Suggest you cericote or paint the existing trigger.

Long triggers are much easier to control. And, the bow is already fitted to the gun. If it's aluminum, get some of that AR Black Pen stuff by Birchwood Casey.

If you don't need to fit a new trigger bow for some practical reason, leave well enough alone.

Yes,......however there is another run starting. Check 1911Enthusiasts
for details. I believe it is on the Colt page.
Contact Feral, he is in contact with Brent at the Custom Shop
Here is a link to the new order.....

45 works for me........still Ned to try the 38 Super

    Thanks for the suggestion, but,.........
I think I know what trigger works best for me. CeraKote or paint is a very
poor choice on a trigger shoe. I'll stick with the Ionbond Harrison triggers.

    Very nice!

Pay no attention to fnfal. When Scooter runs out of Perpetration H he can get really opinionated.

The correct caliber for the 1911 is 45 ACP and alway will be.

Oh yeah! Even a dope up Lance Armstrong can't out run a 45.

BTW, I haven't the heart to tell you I bought three Colt 1911's at the end of 2012. all Commanders and two of them are in 38 Super. They all could use a trigger job:embarassed:
