Broke out and ordered a Gen 2 Glock 23. Have wanted one for a long time.

Big fan of the .40 loaded to minor for practice and GSSF matches. Stable full of 22's and 24's.

Went ahead and ordered a kkm barrel and a few spare mags until my next gssf match.

Thinking this will be a great summer carry gun.

I carried one for years, great guns regardless of what anyone says about the cartridge. Enjoy it

Sound like a great companion to the 22s & 24s..
I haven't done it yet but I am stepping into the 40 with an upcoming G24Gen3.. Sold off my SIGs P229 & P239 in 40 a decade ago..

I need to score some ammo & keep seeing these 1000 round tins of Federal 180gr HST JHP on Gun Broker that start @ a Penny.. I have zero 40 in my stash, Just 22, 45, 38, 357 & some 9mm Israeli sub gun tracer ammo from 1972..

Congrats on the Gen 2 G23 naughtymouse

You make me wanna order a barrel for my upcoming G24, Really I don't want a ported one except for flash/bling, They smoke up the front sights or melt fiber optics sites..

Want another 17L badly. + a 19x Must resist the temptation unless they are under $400..

Unless that Gen2 G23 is serial CPU000US or later (imported in March 1998), it is not Glock-approved for use with a G32 barrel. Compared to 40SW, the 357SIG is a great step forward in muzzle energy for the same recoil (power factor). The inability to use an OEM 357SIG barrel is the most significant deficiency of most Gen2 G22 and G23 pistols.

Serial # SNM10x, early enough to have 40 SW on the slide.

    Mine G2 23 sports a KKM barrel.
It's my go to gun for club games.
For speed shooting, try a Missouri 170 grain coated SWC over 3.3 grains Bullseye.

Congratulations. Mine is too early for a 357sig barrel but has no trouble with warm 40 loads. 20190720_164439.jpg

The 23 is a sweetheart. A 19 with more power. What's not to love? I love my little 27. Its a tack driver.

It appears to be a three pin gun. Why is it too early for 357 Sig?

I'm not sure if it has anything to do with pins. See Mike -M's post #4. I think the material in front of the front rail is beefed up in later models.
