In your opinion, what has caused some slides to have their breech faces damaged/punched out by the striker?

Do you think it's caused by excessive dry firing or out of spec slides in some cases?

I want to dry fire, but the photos I've seen of damaged slides has me hesitating...

    Thanks.

That was a rare occurrence if ever! The Glock is made to be dry fired, have at it. Honest, no worries.
