so i decided to throw down on the g19 yesterday. and after two trips to the local ffl i decided to get one that they had on special.

    nib g19
    3 15 rd mags
    trijicon night sights

all for 625 and some change out the door. im happy and dont think ive come down yet from the new gun rush but thats not a bad thing.

now i just need to go and shoot it:cool:

    It's just a Glock 19. It's not something way high-end.

Don't want to embarrass, or spoil the party, but was it a Gen 4? And if you don't mind: did you choose it over the G17?

Congrats. May I ask what city you live in, that price, 625 sounds kind of high.

Yeah, didn't want to embarass if it was a Gen 3 but I thought $625 was a little high myself - still trijicons add $100 usually.

no it was not a gen 4, from my understanding theres still a little while before the compacts are released in that form. and yes i did choose it over the g17. i had a thread on debating the two about a week or so ago and my biggest concern was that the frame of the 19 would be a hair too small for me but after spending some time playing around with both i decided on the 19.

im in northern virginia about 40 mins outside of dc. the price actually wasnt bad at all when you consider a plain jane g19 retails for 520-540 at various shops here, the night sights are another 100 or so and they threw in an extra magazine, it was only supposed to come with two to my knowledge. so all in all i got a gun that i was going to put the trijicons on anyway and a free magazine:dunno:

the 4th gen g17 is retailing for around 580-590 here. this is an inflated area and being as close to the fed gov. as i am the area hasnt gotten hit as bad by the economy down fall so luxury items havent really dropped in price the way they have elsewhere.

Calling you out on the Maserati. Even if you prove it though, there are way better cars out there for the $$$.

Depending on your income it may be "high-end".
