Bow season opens this Saturday

    It's that time again!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: But, and it's a big but, with only 2 days this August less than 90 degrees, it is just too dang hot. I can sweat building a snowman, so it's difficult for me to control my scent this early in the season. Still gonna give it a shot. :thumbsup:

    im supposed hunt a farm somwhere south of covington this year, i think it might be out past taylor mill road. any ideas as to deer population?
    id hunt near water if i were you and cool northern hillsides. good luck.

    Well, for last season, Kenton County (where Covington is) had 654 deer checked in. The county to the west is Boone, and they had 1798 checked. Grant county is southwest, and they had 1957 checked. Pendleton is southeast, and they had 2333.

    Sounds like a good chance to me. :thumbsup:

    BTW, Owen county, southwest of Grant county, is consistently in the top 1 or 2 of deer checked each year. Last year they had 3302.

    thanks. good luck saturday, ill be chasing goose,teal,dove and squirrel and then heading to colorado with my bow for elk the following wknd. life is good.:banana:
