Of course I take it seriously as a political threat. But I don't think it's possible to take something called an "assault weapons ban" seriously on an intellectual level. What does that even mean? Specifically what are they trying to prohibit? Why?

Just say it to my face.

Unfortunately, knowing Boulder County, even though there are quite a bit 2A folks there, the city folks there will do everything to get out the vote to pass almost any legislation to ban AR's, reduce the size of the mags to ten and do whatever else they 'think' will reduce so-called gun violence. The mag reduction could very well be illegal when applying Colorado State Law. Having spent many years with a business there, Boulder is one really screwed up city and even some of my more moderate Denver friends wholeheartedly agree.

Would Colorado’s firearm preemption law stop Boulder’s assault weapons ban?
Colorado's complicated Constitution makes finalizing assault weapons ban in Boulder harder than it looks. And both gun control and gun rights advocates think they might use that to their advantage.

Boulder is so screwed up that, years ago they decided that the law enforcement radio towers required to maintain communications around the foot hills, were too high and they interfered with the "view"!

When I was there the antenna tower height was therefore restricted to 40 feet. Pretty over safety...............

Colorado libtards have been salivating about real gun bans ever since Hick crawled up Obama and Bloomberg's asses with the magazine ban and CBI background delay... er... expanded background check. ******* gun stores actually love the latter since they sometimes overcharge by 15-20 bucks for it. Who am I kidding, they also love the magazine ban since they can get a free "high capacity" magazine by claiming they can't finalize the transfer without confiscating it from the buyer.

This state really gets my blood boiling seeing what it has become in the last 10 years.

The people of Boulder will vote about 80%-20% for the ban. That's how left Boulder is.

I've also witnessed one gun store, who has been around for quite a while, charge enormous amounts to both the buyer AND the seller regarding using them for a mandatory FFL transfer. The charge to the buyer... $55.00 and the seller... $45.00.

After watching this occur... on my own sale a few months later, at another good FFL, they charged the buyer 'only' $30.00 and me...nothing, the latter which is how it should be.

And yes, there's one so called popular local gun store that will sell you an AR... while removing and keeping the thirty round mag, ... and charging the buyer for the replacement Colorado legal fifteen round mag. In fact, many online dealers will do the same when selling to Colorado.

Buyer... and seller... beware and look for the reputable local and online gun shops. Even here in Colorado... they do exist.

    Unless the majority left?

Betweem Berkley and Boulder you have a sucking black hole of leftism.

This is a city that has banned sugar in drinks and drinking straws.

Do you think after taking sugar away they care if they take guns away?

Larimer and weld county don't enforce the mag ban. I heard directly from the weld sheriff that if a city/town charges someone for magazines they won't accept the defendant into the county jail which means city cops are in a pickle if they want to charge the person as most city jails are not equipped for overnight visits as they don't have food/medical.

Just go up north and you can easily buy mags.

And most distributors are the ones taking the mags. They say they won't ship them to CO. So they send the gun sans mag.

And to tbink. The average house price is over $1M in Boulder.

What would people pay to live in that sh**hole?

If they gave me a house there I wouldn't take it.
