I needed them and I payed for it.... $47 out the door for 1k of rem lpp! Man I hated to buy 'em at that price but what are you gonna do? I'm gonna start building a "stock-pile" of primers by ordering in bulk on-line......

Come to think of it, I'm also selling primers.....$10 per 100 +shipping:tongueout:.

    What? No takers?:wavey:

THAT would be almost EXACTLY double what the dealer paid for them from his distributor.
This week I bought 10,000 LR primers at the old "normal" prices and there are BILLIONS of primers in the pipeline so there is no problem finding them IF your dealer is not a lazy so'n'so and will go shop around a bit.

That seems pretty high. I can buy them locally for around $30 -35. You can buy them online, but then you have Hazmat to pay too. However if you want to set some aside, that may be a good option. Powder Valley has Wolf LPs in stock for $25.50 (excluding shipping/hazmat).

You didn't buy primers, you got hosed for primers. If you reload, you must have primers. They last almost indefinitely. Go to PV or Graf's & place an order for 10K min. You'll pay far less & always have them. When you get down to 5K of any size, order another 10K. If it takes 6m to fill the order, you'll still be shooting w/o getting raped for primers @ $50/K.

Locally around us they sell for $39.99 + tax per 1,000 = $43 out the door per 1K. I'm probably just going to order a large quantity online next time...it also beats having to call regularly to see if they have any in stock.

Black powder doesn't require any expensive primers... and there's no shortage of flints. Hey, just sayin'. :whistling:

    bno762,

Where did you buy those I just bought some WLR primers at Southwest Ammo. Is that where you got your primers? That's where I've been getting my components but they seem to be getting pretty high.

Hey Jim. How've you been. Haven't seen you around much lately. Yeah I went to southwest ammo and got em. They seem to have gone up in price recently....I don't mind payin a little extra to shop there. I like Harry and the mom and son that own the place. They all seem to be good people. I usually buy 1k lpp and 1k spp but geez I would've spent $100 on 2k primers! That's kinda crazy. I figure I'll order from graffs or pv in a few weeks.

Picked some CCI up from my dealer last week for $25.50 per 1k. I would never buy from that dealer that ripped you off again. I would order from Powder Valley if that guy is your only local option. Get some buddies together and put in a large order.

I recently placed an order with Grafs and it came pretty quick, a few weeks maybe 6 on the outside. I did not receive any LP, but I did get CCI sp, and LR Mil Spec and Federal GM SR BR /LR BR. Price was fair, I think $110 for SP and $155 for the Gold match per 5K. Place your order and be ready to wait. I am going to order again soon as I am about to open the stuff I just received. I really got lucky with the order I was running out when it came. Best of luck on your order!
