I went to visit Ed's today, on the chance that they would have a G19RTF2 that I could use my GSSF certificate on.

They did not have any, so while browsing around, I asked the girl about a G21SF.
She showed me several, and I really liked the model with the RTF. I mentioned that I might be buying one directly from Glock, using my Armorers discount and paperwork, but hated to put up with the wait from Glock.

She just laughed, and said if I had my paperwork and certificate with me, they would honor the price.

Guess what I came home with?????

This is the first .45 that I have ever owned, and the only one I have ever shot was some model of Ruger about 15 years ago. I hated it. I shot a G21 a couple of weeks ago a few times, and decided I would give it a try again.

    Here is the gun:

These are the first 10 shots right out of the box. Just picked it up, loaded it, and started firing. All were shot at 10'.

After a little practice to used to the gun, I set up another target and ran it out to 21'.
    Here is what happened:

I'm thinking I will like this "fancy new caliber"!!!!!!

I agree. Great service. They shipped me a gun to NC and I had it next day.

impressive shooting sir...i've been seeing the straight serrations on the RTF's lately..anyone care to clarify if they've ditched the fish gills altogether?

I tried an old fashioned 21 a few yrs ago but the grip was just too darn big. I bought the G21sf and it's just the right fit. I shot it this am with some of my reloads with lead bullets, oh forgot you cann't shoot lead bullets in a Glock, right. I now have its little brother coming a G30sf. Looking forward to more fun. Is it the angle of the photo or did they do somthing to the bottom of the RTF grip?

I do believe the "gills" are gone.

I really love that RTF2 on the G21. I tried to find one the other day, but could only find one with night sights. Not enough money for that right now, so got another G30sf.

I have become quite smitten by the Glock .45s lately. Soft shooting!

Using my Armorers discount, it was $464.00 plus tax.

About $100.00 cheaper than my local retail dealer.

What's with the smooth grips? Looks strange. Is that the 'RTF' part? :dunno:

They are not smooth, even though they might appear that way in the pictures.

The RTF2 is a very fine texture, of a rough grip. It is so fine, that it does not "dig" or "cut" into your hand. It absolutely helps in holding a firmer grip on the gun, but it is not as noticeable as the rougher original version of the RTF.

Try a set on when you get a chance, it really does feel good.

Interesting. Must be pretty new, since I haven't seen them. Of course, I just might have not noticed them because lately I've been looking out for specific guns. I'll keep an eye out next time.

    Thanks.

When I was in Ed's Friday, they had an RTF with fish gills (don't remember if it was a 17 or 22 though). I didn't ask to see if they had both types there in stock, since that wasn't what I was looking for.
