If you notice, the complaints come from the same people over and over again...It doesn't matter which generation Glock he gets, I would suggest the one that is most comfortable in his hand.Since I have heard of some complaints regarding Gen4, which generation is the best? He is not opposed to buying used. . .
Ya ok..:upeyes:FWIW, a local gun store here will accept Gen 3's in trade on a new Gen 4 (or whatever gun you like), but will not touch a Gen 4 on a trade on anything. "Don't need the headaches" was the quote I believe. Anyhow, such is life, fair or not.
