Will the Bomar adustable rear site work well with a mep front night site? What is the width and height of the Bomar front site?

The standard Bo-Mar front sight measurements are .275" high and .135" wide. I switched my front sight with one that was .250" high. This combo works well with factory ammo but not with some of my "special" ammo. I have to have the sight bottomed out to hit point of aim. I wouldn't go any lower than this. And I wouldn't go any wider than the standard Bo-mar front as there is already very little light on the sides of the standard front sight.

Probably not. Sights are made as matched sets and the one we use with bomars is much taller than standard at .275. Our custom version is .115 wide with an optional .105 while other retailers generally have the wider .135 version.

I have the Glock specific Bomar's on my g17; I think I bought my set from Brownells. I just measured the front sight and I got .120 wide by .265 high. I measured the width of the rear sight notch as .125. I was using an inexpensive caliper, not a good micrometer so I might be off a few thousands. I'd prefer even more clearance around the front sight and I may opt for CGR's narrower front.

Ah, right you are Glenn! And I've been thinking that the fatter bullet might convert some of my near miss "C"'s into scratch B's! :)
