Mga Brothers, gundog and I were talking this morning about BoG's hosting a PPSA sanctioned Level 1 pistol match on Jan. 6 and 7, 2007 at Armscor, Marikina, just before the gun ban period starts the following week. The registration is 500 per, and if we expect a max. of 200 participants, we would only be working with a 100k budget. We were estimating the costs involved and it came out to around 70-80k hosting a 2 day pistol match at armscor. That comes out roughly as follows: Stage preparations: approx. 8k Salaries for bad boys and range assistants: 12k RO's Food and Beverages: 20k Trophies: 35k Registration materials and scoresheets: 6k This is already 81k for the range preparation alone. We would still need to pay Armscor Range fees of 100/shooter and PPSA sanctioning fees, another 100/shooter. That leaves us only 60k budget and we will be short 20-30k more. The big question is: Can we pull-off a major event like this in 3 wks time? To be able to do that, we will need to commit at least 2000 each by either soliciting sponsors for the shoot or inviting a min. of 4 participants each. Kaya ba natin as a group from different backgrounds to support this major undertaking in such a short period of time? If we can get enough sponsors to bankroll the major expenses, i.e. trophies and food & beverages of the RO's, we can possibly make this happen! Alam naman ng lahat ng shooters how BoG's conducts its funshoots and matches! Siguradong maganda mga stages and trophies! Plus, and this is the biggest come on, masaya ang mga events hosted ng BoG's! So what say you mga kapatid? Deal or No Deal?
