Well this fellow here, got some brass ones for sure, even though he has 2 layers of armor on, if you know the 10mm, then you know the energy it makes, and this guy seems to know his 10mm.

    What an UNBELIEVABLE idiot!

SHOOTING yourself, to 'test' a 10mm?

    Really?

    REALLY?

    REALLY?

That man REALLY needs to win the Darwin award.

    Soon.

Well, guess he proved the armor works! And dispels the myth of total annihilation by a 10mm... darn!

He should go for the head shot instead.

Their's a conceal armor company that has their CEO get shot at point blank to prove their faith in the product.

This guy had faith in his armor would stop a 10mm ( no surprise here if you know anything about armor ), but still he took a chance for injury for his action.

fwiw that armor would stop anything from a 22lr to 44mag, bvut don't take my word on it. Shoot your self and find out on your own.

Oh. My. God. That is insane! And the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. This guy needs to go on the road and do shows.

Glad to see that he upgraded from the days when he just duct taped the trauma plates to his back....

That is definitely the stupidest thing I've seen someone do to themselves in a long time. Did like the SECURITY stencilled on the back of the armor though. Do you suppose 2BlackBelts could have let himself go that bad?

    Nice!
Maybe next time he can raise the barrel up a foot and a half and then squeeze.

Fake. The muzzle blast on the armor would be greater than that with a contact shot. There would be deformation to the vest panel itself even after just one shot, especially with a contact shot. I have shot over 1000 rounds of varying calibers at varying distances.....every aspect of this video screams shennanigans.

Yes, for years, Richard Davis used to run around shooting himself the immediately engage bowling pins afterward. Davis generally did that with low energy rounds. When he did shoot himself with the high energy rounds even he started putting phone books up under the under to reduce the trauma. There is some impressive footage of Davis taking mutiple .308 hits at almost contact range ........but this video friends....Shennanigans.

Or lower the barrel a foot and a half... That'll be just as beneficial to humanity. :whistling:

    WTF..... That was real?!

    :-0

What if the armor failed and the round went through him and damaged some of the "collectibles" on the shelves behind him!? Nice forethought, buddy.

I don't know, I've only done a little bit of shooting vests, but lots of shooting on camera, and that looked an awful lot like a legitimate shot to me.

Hornaday 200 grain XTP 10mm, isn't really anything special when it comes to energy. Infact its probably closer to 40 S&W than full house 10mm loadings. But most level IIIa soft armor will stop loads up to 44 mag, I'm not sure why anyone would be surprised it'd stop the much less powerful 10mm.
