GOOD! Caveat; Governor Evers - "it's so quiet" - dipsheeet it is water cooled. Dumb-arse!
Hans Gruber, huh?
I`ll believe it when i see it. But anything can happen, as HarleyDavidson has been struggling for a long time. They screwed their dealer network. Forced them all into new buildings, more clothing than they could ever sell. Especially when all the leathers and clothing are MADE IN CHINA.
Older harley riders are dieing off, dont ride anymore, and they didnt teach their little squirts how to ride, so harley is losing bigtime. I dont feel a bit sorry for them. If they hadnt sold out the dealers and customers, and chit on Trump, things could have been different for them. And WillyG dont give a rats azz, he`s about dead anyway. He sells out, take the majority of the profit from the sale, sets his rats up good, no worries. Their own family dont care if the business sells, they still get a big piece of it.
I use to be a BIG supporter, actually still own the first and last Harley i ever bought.
But as far as i`m concerned, HD died after 1999
See yah Harley... buh byeeee
Here’s Hans at the negotiation table...
That does not surprise me in the slightest, but it's still a damned shame.
I have never been a Harley guy.
While many like the retro styling, I have always thought they were butt ugly even when they were in style.
In fact, I always felt that the two ugliest vehicles ever built were the 57 Chevy and the Harley Electra Glide.
That being said, Harley Davidson has come a long way in recent years. I am a Goldwing guy, but have often said that if Honda ever stop making the Goldwing, I would strongly consider a Harley Davidson Road King followed by anything but a BMW.
I really hope that the folks at BMW do put some new world engineering into the old Harley design, but suspect they will go overboard, and screw it all up beyond recognition.
I'm just glad I bought my Goldwing in 2010 before Honda moved production back to Japan.
I hope that my Goldwing is the last bike I ever need to own.
I did some research... seems to be the typical April fools joke again about HD, HD hasnt sold.
But i would not be the least bit surprised if it does sell real soon.
If true everything will be over engineered, computerized and made of plastic.
Don't forget top heavy with expensive parts that brake when the bike tips over.
And have drive units that last a week. HH
I gotta admit it is fun to watch the newbie harley riders drop their bikes, then stand there waiting for their wives to come over and pick them back up off the ground for them...lol
Next thing you know, a bowling alley manufacturer will buy HD...
I own a 99 FXDX Sport with over 50,000 miles on it. Not one issue ever. Has NEVER dripped a drop of oil, has never failed to start. Has NEVER once left me stranded, in over 50,000 miles. I`ve owned and rode this bike since brand new. Its the only Harley i`ve ever owned. Born and raised on yamaha, from dirt bikes to road bikes. And i do still have a yamaha 1000 street tour bike. But when i want comfort, i always ride the harley.
Now you’re showing your age.
Harleys have belt drive, not drive units. This was in reference to BMW's very poor record with their drive units. HH
LOL... yeah i knew what you mean`t, and i totally agree. I was just referencing how many miles i`ve been trouble free with this Harley i own. She`s been a wonderful ride for me since 1999. Its still got way more life left in it than i do unfortunately. Most people that see it dont believe me when i tell them its a 1999. But i DO take really good care of my things, that makes a difference.
I love HD motorcycles but hate everything else about the motor company. All that Chinese crap hanging on the racks in every shop makes me sick.
Also, I can't stand "the lifestyle". What a crock of chit!
I bought my Harley to ride it whenever, wherever and with whomever I choose, not simply to the HD dealer to eat free hotdogs and go on a HOG ride.
THIS is why HD is dying.
EXACTLY THAT ^^^^
BULLSEYE!!! Youuuuuuuu NAILED it!!!!!!!!!!
Never seen more posers in all my life!
I call them the "PlasticRiders". Whip out the credit card, buy bike & clothes, pose!
