Vidalias are NOT onions. Kinda like Beefsteaks are NOT tomatoes, soy proteins are NOT meat, and ground turkeys are NOT burgers. They are tasteless imitations of the real thang!
Wonder Bread was in Texas many years ago - may still be. I grew up on Mrs. Baird's, but you are right. Baird's aint what was it before her five sons sold out.

And I love a good make your eyes water red onion, but I am not ruining my BLT with an O.
Now maybe a C if its a real good sharp tangy cheddar in a BLTC, but no BLTO on my block.

remove the onion (your wife's suggestion, not mine), add a 3/4 lb burger, and substitute Duke's for Hellmann's and you have a winner.

We used to have a one pounder locally. They closed up a couple years ago. I miss that BLT.

    Best sandwich ever...

Bacon and tomato, no lettuce, between two pieces of toast slathered with mayo and peanut butter.

It's best with garden fresh tomatoes. Tomatoes from the grocery store are bland and flavorless.

I love a Southern BLTO. Fried green tomatoes in place of regular tomatoes. Mmmm, going to get one after work.

I've tried for years, but the only way I like tomatoes is:
Green, fried and dipped in Ranch dressing !

No onions on a BLT, period.

Duke's is a Southern thing, but you can get it most places these days. It's really good,, WAY better than the ok, but bland, Hellman's....

Dukes is like Miracle Whip. Gulf state Southerners eat Helmans. Dukes is for the Carolina kin...

    No. Leave my BLT alone.

No, you're just a yankee. You don't become a damn yankee until you move down here.

    LOL just kidding.

I can understand that. No worries though, I’ll never be moving to Florida. You are all safe. :D

LOL I was only joking. There are lots of people here from all over. The rarest person is a native Floridian.

I have been cooking a whole package of bacon -

I lay out a good size sheet of aluminum foil - then put a paper towel on the foil - then put bacon on the paper towel - fold over towel and seal the foil.

I put it in the freezer -

Then when I want some bacon I just grab some.

Some times I will just grab a piece of frozen bacon - and eat it right out of the freezer - it is very good.

If I am making a BLT I microwave it for 20 - 30 seconds to warm it up -
