Bacon lettuce tomato onion. Hellman’s of course. None of the Dukes crap.
No friggin onion.
I’m thinking a big old solid disk of it.
You're a sick puppy seal.
Red or white?
Nope...but cheese is acceptable....if not mandatory...
Duke's is simply a better mayonnaise. Indisputable.
It's a Southern thang, y'all damnyankees ain't right in the haid.
No tomato for me!
Yeah, I think the cold up there has frozen his tastebuds.
I like onion on many things - but on a BLT it takes away from the bacon taste and I don't want that -
I would just put a couple thick slices of onion on the side - lightly salted & cut into wedges like a small pizza.
Same thing with jalapenos - they are better on the side.
We use Hellman's with olive oil - Dukes only comes in a squeeze bottle and they suck for mayo -
But Hellman's with olive oil is better than Duke's anyway -
How dark you making the toast?
Last BTL I made I used those small salad tomatoes - about the size of grapes -
It was a little extra work slicing them - but worth it -
How many pieces of bacon should you eat while waiting for the toast to pop up?
It takes 3 1/2 pieces of bacon (minimum) to make a proper BLT - so I usually let the math figure it out
(Number of pieces of bacon I have on hand) - [(2 sandwiches) X (3.5 pieces of bacon)] = number I eat while waiting
Move out of the ghetto:
The best side dish to go with a BLT is --
BLT is great. never thought about puting onion on it. Never heard of Dukes, is it a southern thing?
The local HEB store must have at least 20 different mayonnaise brands / types
They use to carry Dukes in a jar - but since almost everyone was buying the Hellman's they decided to eliminate Dukes in a jar to make more room for Hellman's with olive oil.
Hellman's with olive oil is even better than regular Hellman's which is better than Dukes -
BLT and no onion with Blue Plate mayo.
At least 10.
if its not dukes , then it sure as hell isnt mayonnaise
I love a good BLT sammich. My trick is to leave off the tomato and lettuce.
