    But, but we had a poster on the GTPI say they were the same thing and claimed Blacks agreed.

    So...if a Black pastor speaks out against Obama, he must be a racist, but since Obama is half White, I guess he's racist against that side?

    Very confusing.....:dunno::dunno:

    I think it is an issue because while BHO will still get 90% of their votes, if the total is much smaller, he is in trouble.

    don't forget that the percentage only tells part of it, there is the turnout factor which affects the actual number of votes.

    A 7% point loss and 7% fewer total Black voters would be a number for him to worry about.

    I don't see this issue bringing out MORE Black voters to vote for him.

    That 7% falloff would be more important than it seems; in a close election, that difference could throw the election to the other side. This election will be close; Obama will need the usually heavy margins in his core constituencies. Any falloff, even minor ones, can be the cause of his defeat.

    It is an issue, it's a big issue.

    Obama is rapidly losing the black vote because his socialist economic policies have hit them the hardest.

    I never really understood why more blacks haven't stood up before to say that being black and living a homosexual lifestyle isn't the same thing.

    To my way of thinking - being black is something you cannot control, but living a homosexual lifestyle is about behavior, and a person CAN control their behavior.

    I imagine that African-Americans who still have recollections of being fire-hosed, beaten with rubber truncheons, or having to use "Blacks Only" bathrooms are offended by having their civil rights history conflated with gay activism.

    Obama will lose this November in a landslide defeat, largely because of losing the traditional democrat base.

    That includes the blacks and other poor minorities.

    America is fed up with Obama. Period.

    A forgotten aspect of the 1980 election: Reagan did NOT win in a landslide; John Anderson made it SEEM it was a landslide. The Reagan landslide finally occurred in 1984, and we mentally made it retroactive to 1980.

    Some Blacks may stay home but I sure don't see them voting for the GOP.

    True - I think the 'excitement' and 'first black president' vote will be less likely to turn out. But, I don't think Obama's support for gays will be a factor.

    I think Obama will loose this year - why? - because the opposition is motivated this time (I don't think people were excited about McCain). In Georgia a 1% sales tax proposal for mass transit and roads was defeated by a wide margin. Those people are motivated.
