    What bullseye?
You'd think I'd have remembered to ask the vet about this when I was there the other day.

Lena, who is my fairly stocky (14 lbs.!) black kitty, has recently started letting me brush her. The dead hair that comes up is great, and her fur ball problems have slowed dramatically. However, there is a lot of dead skin that looks like dandruff. Do I need to do anything about it? She's not itchy or uncomfortable.....It just looks bad against her black fur......

    Gotta love a kitty....

All of our cats have it to some extent. I think it just shows up more against black fur. As you say it doesn't seem to bother them any. I think this is the 'dander' that bothers people who are allergic to cats.

I believe you can buy special dry shampoos at Pet stores that may help. Never used them ourselves... We just brush our black cat more often...always comes back though.

If it's not affecting her health, don't worry about it. I'm sure she's not worried about her dandruff.;i
