Western Washington Pheasant opener last Saturday.

My buddy and I with two Britts hunting wild birds. I retired Babe this year and took her son Gage, his fourth season. More birds (Pheasant, chucker and Huns) than we can recall for the last 15 years.

We shot limits over the three days, all off of point, and saw hundreds of Roosters.

    Show us yours....

Here is just one story of many. Gage can talk; he is training me to listen.

Where in Western WA is that? Those hills look a lot like the areas around Yakima or other east-side haunts. Good days...Good days...

not sure this year, depends on the owner, Two years ago we didn't when i was out, tough hunting out there without them.. I've never owned hunting dogs as i've not had the time to invest in properly training and maintaining them, my father had a great English Pointer and my uncle had a wonderful German shorthair i hunted over as a young man.. So i know it's a pleasure to shoot over well trained dogs..

Brother told me today via email it looks like the bird population is in good steed this year in Ks.. so i'm looking forward to just being there let alone some good shooting..
