I live this one:
and this one:
When I was a kid I had a copy of his first collection that my Dad brought home with him when he finally got back from Tinian. Loved 'em over & over - came home from stint #1 and it'd been sold in a yard sale with other priceless items like my Fanner 50 and a case of roll-caps....
My personal favorite was Joe telling the medic,"Naw, I already got two purple hearts. Just gimme a couple of aspirin."
Some time ago, I had a copy of a book about Bill Mauldin's work and pictures. It was really good.
"I need a couple guys what don't owe me no money for a little routine patrol."
I guess the Air Force is still just like the Army Air Corps was...
my dad has the book that Mr. Mauldin wrote..funny stuff!
cant get any lower, my buttons are in the way!
