It's too late to save me, but definitely a decent thing to do.

Sorry brother. Never too late. We’re making progress and some new studies have shown early reversibility.

It’s about time he donated to a worthy cause that will benefit all instead of just some left wing idiot stuff. Good for him.

His net worth is $90 billion. So $50 million is about 1/20 of 1% of his net worth.

If your net worth is $90,000, then you are as generous as Gates is if you donate 50 bucks of your money to Alzheimers research.

Jon Huntsman has a net worth of far less than Gates--probably a little over 1 billion--and he has donated over 110 million to cancer research.

Gates has donated $50 BILLION to various charities, so far...

This latest donation is just one of his many.

I wouldn’t split hairs. Research for Alzheimer’s has 50 million they didn’t have before. Sure I wish he had donated a lot more, but I’m grateful for what he did.

If so, then that is impressive, as long as none of the charities he funded are liberal, pro-Socialism, anti-American, pro-abortion etc. organizations.

I tend not to make my donating a thing to hold a press conference over.

Man, I feel sorry for you folks who live your lives completely absorbed by politics... What a miserable existence.

It's irrelevant. My post showed how YOUR donating, even if it's small in dollars compared to Bill's, shouldn't be considered miserly, if your net worth is proportionately less than that of a liberal billionaire.

But I will venture that I have donated far more--both in dollars and as a percentage of my net worth-- to the NRA than Gates ever has or ever will.

Maybe you can alleviate your sadness by telling the world how much YOU have donated to Alz. research. I mean, if you really want to be part of the Inquisition, you should be telling yours first, and then demanding of others AFTER...
