Bought a G19 a couple of months ago to replace my tried and true P225 for carry, well it proved to be a bit more cumbersome than I thought, so I retired it to nightstand duty and bought a G26 for CC, oh darn, I just hate having to buy more pistols.

Had a Gen1 G19 and a Gen2 G23 years ago, but sold them for some reason that now escapes me. Must have been the beginning of my Sig phase.

I highly recommend the Insight WX-150, very nice on the "old" G19.

Congrats! I went the same route getting a compact then a sub-compact. Just got the sub-compact today and have yet to find out how much better it carries, but seeing as the length of the grip was the only problem with the compact it should work out pretty well.

23 and a 27 here that I bought the same day. I initially carried the 23 then switched to the 27. Love 'em both, though.:wavey:

It makes sense to me. They eat the same food and share the same bowls. A G26 is on the 'adoption list' to keep my G19 company.

I've long been a huge proponent of the G19 for EDC and own two of them. But like you I began to find them cumbersome, especially when I really need to be discreet about my carrying. So I bought a G26 too and must admit that it's winning me over slowly but surely. But it's gonna be really hard to beat 16 rounds of 9mm in a compact package.

    Glad you own both!

Thanks! I carried a P225 for years and the 19 is actually a tad shorter and the same heighth, it is a tad wider and I guess that's what I didn't consider, I just wasn't "as" comfortable with it. But I love the 26 and get 2 extra rounds over the Sig. I still love the 19 and it is doing just fine in it's new role. Just sad to have to retire the old guy after only 2 months of service.
