Yeah nothing like pressing that button with your foot and see the lights get dim! In my volly days we had the Federal Q but now I just have the electronic. I think its the difference in price. I remember being in high school and there was a small career dept that protected in borough and the guys had a Federal Q mounted on top of an ambulance. This was 1986. They always drove past our school and laid on that baby.

Youll have to order an air horn from JC Whitney. I think Federal makes an electronic version of their Q siren. Ive never heard it but maybe you could take up a collection between the shifts and buy one!!

We wouldn't buy a truck without a Q and airhorns.

only thing that doesn't have one is our ambulances, but they get 2 100w electrics and a pair of airhorns.

All of our newer engines and Special Operations (Hazmat/Rescue) rigs have Q2's - nothing better than winding those bad boys up! That's what a fire truck is SUPPOSED to sound like! ;f ~2
