Not a gin guy. I received a bottle from a friend. The stuff looks good enough. Suggestions needed.

It is best enjoyed, in my opinion, in a tumbler with some ice and tonic. As far as gin goes, Bombay Sapphire is pretty good.

I am a Gin (and Scotch) guy. Bombay Sapphire is the best there is! I prefer it over a small amount of ice. If you like extra dry martinis, it's good that way too.

It's delicious with tonic, but if you're going to have gin and tonic, much cheaper gin will work just as well. Sapphire is best taken straight, or over a small amouint of ice. BTW, this is a SIPPING gin, not a guzzler.

Sapphire and tonic is about the only gin drink I like. Another good one is this:

    1 oz. gin
50/50 lime margarita mix and cherry-lemon Sundrop over ice

I don't know if Sundrop is available all over the country or not, but substitue any cherry/citrus soda you have (Tahitian Treat, etc). It's a good drink at Christmas parties, etc. You cannot taste the gin in it, and girls especially like it. ;)

Sloe gin bears no relation to gin other than they both have alchohol in them.

Don't mix it with anything other than ice, and maybe a mist of vermouth.

Two ounces of Sapphire in a shaker with a handful of marble-sized ice. Shake for ten seconds. Strain gin into martini glass. Spray one spritz of vermouth through an atomizer on top. Insert one toothpick on which are speared three bleu-cheese stuffed olives:

If you haven't tried it already, I would suggest Tanqueray 10.

All I know about Bombay Sapphire is that the commercials for it during The Shield make me want to change the channel.

I like Gin on the rocks with a slice of lime.

Even if you don't like it, then keep it in your collection for a mixer when you have a party.

    Good luck.

2 shots of gin over 3 cubes of ice, 6 oz of Schweppes tonic water, and a 1/2 slice of lime on the rim. Served in a nice heavy highball glass.

    Yum. Too bad it's 9am here. :)

As far as brand, both Tangueray and Bombay are excellent gins, but definitely different. The Bombay is smoother, with a little less sweetness, whereas the Tangueray is more sweet, and a little less refined.

And gin is love/hate. My wife says it tastes like sucking on a pine cone. Good. She can keep her hands off my Bombay then :)
