I'm looking for a good STRAPLESS HR monitor watch. I just started P90X, I work out regularly and thought I was in good shape, but it is kicking my butt. They recomend a bowflex HR watch
I like it, but I like this a little better

And I like this one even more

First, what do you think of these watches? If you were to pick your own HR watch, which would you pick?(doesn't have to be the ones I have listed)

How about Suunto's, I like them too.

I would like to stay under $200 but I want something that is nice enough to wear everyday and most importantly has an accurate HR monitor.

Hey I'm on day 4 of P90X and looking for one too. I do know that Polar has long been 'the' company for this stuff. My buddy has one as really seems to like it - the chest strap is a high quality, comfortable one that doesn't get annoying or destroyed by a few good workouts. I'm not sure how accurate the strapless ones are.... or maybe you haven't found a comfortable strap? :dunno:

I'm looking at this one: Polar RS300X

You can add a foot pod and even GPS I think. Nice if you do any trail running.

On the other hand, Garmin makes one too: Garmin 305 w/ Heart Rate

I don't know... I just watch my watch for 15 seconds while feeling my heart beat, and multiply by four. So far, so good. But it'd be cool to have that immediate feedback. I checked and my HR was a little over 200 bpm. I hear that's not good...

If you pick something that works great, let me know!

    Thankfully The South. Arkansas
Im an Exercise Science major and GA at ASU, we have to use these things all the time with our clients and the Cheap ones at Hibbet are pretty accurate. They will run you about 60 bucks.

If you want something accurate, it's gonna have a chest strap. Buy a Polar. If you are determined to avoid a chest strap, don't bother getting a HRM.
