I want to take my 300+ cd's and convert them to a format I can use to build my own playlists. I see several different programs. What's easy and works?

I do not care to start remixing the music, just making it more accessable.

I use Windows Media Player 10. Free, easy to use, and very fast.

Before Media Player added mp3 ripping support, a friend of mine recommended Audiograbber. It's also free. Back then, I was using MusicMatch.

I've used a lot of programs and players to do this...I really like Itunes though. Just my 2 cents ;)

I put a CD in my computer, hit a command line and type 'ripit' and a few minutes later I have a folder with MP3's that are named and the folder is labeled the artists name.

I've been using freerip. It's a freeware download and works well.
Looks up the CD's info on the internet to fill in the tags for Artist, Song, Album, etc.
